Must-see highlights

There are numerous activities to explore in the surroundings of the camp, as well as within Torres del Paine National Park. Whether you opt for hiking, trekking, or any other adventure, Riverside Camp serves as the perfect base camp to enhance and make the most of your visit.

Navigation to Grey Glacier

Leaving the camp and entering through the Serrano Gate, you should head towards the west side of the Park, in the direction of Hotel Lago Grey. From there, you can take the catamaran that will lead you to the mythical Grey Glacier. During the 3-hour journey (1.5 hours each way), you can enjoy a calafate sour with ice obtained from the glacier itself, along with beautiful landscapes overlooking the mountains and glaciers surrounding the lake. The experience concludes by admiring the imposing Grey Glacier, rising like an ice wall in front of you.

Trekking to Valle del Francés:

You should head towards the Serrano Gate, in the direction of the east side of the Park, until you reach the Pudeto pier. There, you will take the catamaran that will lead you to the Paine Grande sector, where the trek to one of the must-see spots on the W Circuit, the spectacular Valle del Francés, begins. Surrounded by mountains with extreme shapes, you will walk along the Cuernos Del Paine until you reach the Francés Glacier. An unparalleled view. The return follows the same path, covering approximately 25 km round trip. It’s a long distance, but well worth it.

Mirador Cóndor y Mirador Cuernos

If you want to visit two of the most spectacular viewpoints in Torres del Paine National Park, our camp is the ideal base for this. Entering the park through the Serrano Gate, you should head towards the east side of the park. Near the Pehoé campground, you will find the Horns Viewpoint, offering spectacular views from the height towards Mount Paine Grande and the Horns. Continuing the path and arriving at the Pudeto pier, you will find the trail that leads to Salto Grande and the Horns Viewpoint, where you will be amazed by the imposing grandeur of these mountains.

Kayaking

You can join 5-hour kayak tours from Hotel Grey where you can paddle along the Serrano River, the Lake, and the Grey River. Upon return, the tour ends just steps away from our campsite.

Exploring around the camp

Around the camp, there are various trails to explore. We highly recommend the tranquil walk along the Serrano River, offering spectacular views of the Paine Massif, and reaching the confluence of the Grey and Serrano Rivers. These trails are also suitable for biking and are an excellent option when you visit, especially if you come with your family.

Horseback Riding

Near the camp, you can go on horseback rides to Mirador Tyndall or Mirador Donoso. It is an excellent option for those who want to experience true Patagonian adventure.

Fishing

It is possible to engage in fishing activities in certain areas of the Serrano River.
